Eastern Colorado Bank donated $2,000.00 to Baby Bear Hugs in Limon, CO with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. These funds will help their outreach program give support to families of children prenatally to 5 years old. Baby Bear Hugs provides resources at no cost to the expectant parents and families during home visitations. They promote healthy brain development, oral health and parental resources to ensure these children will grow up to be strong and healthy.

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $5,000.00 to Country Living Learning Center in Limon, CO with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. These funds will help purchase teacher professional development courses and materials as well as parent and family training from Love and Logic Institute. The training and materials will provide practical tools and techniques that can help all the adults involved in the Country Living Learning Center students' lives achieve respectful, healthy relationships.

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $5,000.00 to Cheyenne Wells High School Foundation with our 2023 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. These funds will go towards building a new track and new playground equipment at the Cheyenne Wells School. The new playground has been installed and they are making good progress on the new track. The C.W.H.S. Foundation was created in 1991 and their objectives are to enhance, maintain, develop, increase and extend the services and facilities of Cheyenne Wells School District for generations to come.

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $2,500.00 to Kit Carson Historical Society with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will help update labels on exhibits in the Old Depot, the house, the metal building, place labels on machinery in the yard, update the pubic restroom signs and purchase a solar open/closed sign. The Kit Carson Historical Society is dedicated to collecting and preserving memorabilia from this rural area's history for generations to enjoy. 

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $3,500.00 to Wild Horse Community Club with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. These funds will help redo the vestibule flooring, ceiling tiles, window coverings and window screens in the historic two classroom school house in Wild Horse, Colorado. The school house was closed in 1962 and is in need of some repairs. The Wild Horse Community Club has put a lot of work in to the building to help preserve it's history and keep it open for community gatherings.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $5,000 to Strand Theater Group with our 2023 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will help replace the flooring in the Theater that was damaged by water and also update the current bathrooms to be ADA compliant. The Strand Theater is located in Sharon Springs, KS and was built in the 1920’s. The Strand Theater Group wants to make sure they preserve this important piece of history for generations to come.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $550.00 from the Giving Back - Looking Forward grant to Eastern Plains Animal Welfare Alliance (EPAWA). These funds will help pay for 10 spay/neuter surgeries in the town of Cheyenne Wells. These cats will be trapped, altered and returned to where they were trapped. EPAWA encourages responsible pet ownership through humane education and to lessen the effects of over population. They also provide programs and services which enhance the bond between animals and people while advocating for animals and their welfare.

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $5,000.00 to Dynamic Dimensions, Inc. with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will help support the 2nd Annual Middle School and High School Day program in summer of 2024. DDI will be able to provide care, education and transportation for students from Arriba-Flagler, Stratton, Bethune, Burlington and Cheyenne Wells School Districts. The program is free to the students with an identified disability and will keep them engaged in learning over the summer break. 

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $10,000.00 to Embrave with our 2023 Giving Back - Looking Forward grant. With these funds Embrave's Community Corrections Program will provide rehabilitation and support services to address the underlying issues that contributed to a person's criminal behavior and reduce their likelihood of reoffending.

Eastern Colorado Bank donated $10,000.00 to Mercy's Gage in Colorado Springs with the 2023 ECB Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will help mitigate hunger and homelessness in Colorado Springs by providing life-giving resources for the working poor. The neighbors who come to Mercy's Gate work hard to cover their typical necessities but at times experience an unexpected financial crisis. The services that Mercy's Gate offers include: food, housing, utility, medical, transportation, clothing assistance, tax assistance, back-to-school supplies, Thanksgiving baskets, food pantry and community referrals.
