The money requested will be used to replenish the local food pantry in Cheyenne Wells when the supplies are running low throughout the year. Also, every year we run the Cheyenne County Angel Tree Program that is for any families or individuals that could use help around the holiday season. The Angel Tree Program gives food baskets, along with gifts for the children. We have ranged from helping 30-55 families a year. The money would be used to help fill the void where needed, whether it be food for the food baskets, or clothes and toys for the kids. This is a county wide program, so includes Arapahoe, Cheyenne Wells, Kit Carson and Wild Horse.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church Food Pantry is located in the Sacred Heart Church and services Cheyenne County for anyone in need of food items. We work closely with Cheyenne County Department of Human Services, and they let families know we are available any time needed. Years ago, we took over the Cheyenne County Angel Tree Program and run it through the church in conjunction with Cheyenne County DHS. Applications are filled out and their information is released to our program. Paper Angels are filled out per family, per child and dispersed to numerous churches and organizations throughout the county who help purchase gifts for the children. Each family receives a food basket, and wrapped gifts for their children. Over the years, the program has really grown, and our outreach has become widespread throughout the county. We partner with both the Cheyenne Wells and Kit Carson Schools and their organizations help run food and toy drives and all items donated go towards our program. All of the work done by this organization is volunteer based and everything is fully donated.

Our organization will benefit tremendously from this sponsorship. This will allow us to fill in where needed, either in stocking the food pantry shelves or purchasing items for our food baskets or gifts for children during the holiday season. The impact this will have on the community is truly remarkable. There is nothing quite like the feeling of watching the county come together for the common good of families in their community and giving back to those in need of a little extra help throughout the year. This program has brought the county together. Whether it be the church or school organizations, or just people in the community, this has become a common goal of the organizations to support our food pantry and Angel Tree Program. As our need in the community has grown, so has the need for more supplies to be able to make this program work, so with this sponsorship we will be able to continue our work for another year. We help families throughout Cheyenne County, CO (Arapahoe, Cheyenne Wells, Kit Carson, and Wild Horse).

The need for medical professionals in rural communities has never been greater. One of the paramount goals of Prairie View Health Resources, Inc is to provide the means for recruitment and retention of high-quality healthcare workers at Keefe Memorial Hospital and Prairie View and Kit Carson clinics, located in rural Cheyenne County in Eastern Colorado. Currently the hospital relies extensively on temporary staff and pool or float employees. Community members have recognized this, as well as the fact that many youth from the area are not willing to return to their local communities based on the lack of quality jobs present. Prairie View Health Resources, Inc is hoping to encourage a change by funding the education of individuals that plan to enroll in an approved program and intend to work for Keefe Memorial Health Services District. With this in mind, PVHR has established an education assistance program. The concept of this program is to fund the education of students in exchange for employment within Keefe Memorial Health Services District. This program provides funds to be used towards tuition, supplies, and other related educational expenses for students enrolled in approved programs. Programs include Doctorate of Medicine, Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, Hospital Administration, Radiology Technician, Laboratory Technician. Prairie View Health Resources, Inc is requesting $5,000.00 to go towards a total budget of $25,000.00 per award. An example of a previous recipient was a Registered Nursing student who received $6,000.00 per semester for tuition and supplies. This student was awarded a total of four semesters ($24,000.00) and agreed to employment as a Registered Nurse for a four year term.

Prairie View Health Resources, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the healthcare needs of Cheyenne County. Our goal is to provide the means for recruitment and retention of high-quality providers and assist with the acquisition of cutting-edge technologies and materials needed to provide excellent healthcare for the members of our community and neighbors. Prairie View Health Resources, Inc was founded in 1988 for the promotion of county health services, including but not limited to, soliciting funds, sponsoring fundraising events for physician recruitment and support, and the purchase of hospital and medical equipment, sponsoring health clinics and activities, and seeking membership thereof.

Prairie View Health Resources will be able to provide another scholarship with this financial assistance from Eastern Colorado Bank. PVHR has recently paid the tuition of two students. With increased funding to this program, PVHR hopes to entice a medical provider to reside in Cheyenne County and be employed at Keefe Memorial Hospital.

In March 2015, the Our Hometown Charitable Foundation was established as a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the lives of individuals in their community. The foundation's main goal was to refurbish The Midway Theater, a project that took nearly two years to complete. This renovation was made possible through fundraising, personal and corporate contributions, grants, donated professional services, and thousands of volunteer hours. The restoration of The Midway included new bathrooms, seating, a digital projector, and an upgraded concession area. In December 2016, a century after its initial construction, The Midway's screen illuminated once again. Following the theater's self-sufficiency, a theater committee was established, leading to financial independence from OHCF. The Midway Theater currently relies heavily on volunteers for its operations, and its sustainability is maintained not just by ticket and concessions revenue, but also through donations, grants, and sponsorships.

Since The Midway reopened in late 2016, it has welcomed thousands of visitors, showcased numerous films on its big screen, and served as a stunning setting for concerts, meetings, parties, and community gatherings. Despite the tremendous support received, the digital projector and concession equipment have required expensive repairs and upkeep. To ensure the theater and its equipment's continued operation, we are reaching out for assistance in covering some of the costs for their maintenance and repair.

The sponsorship will aid The Midway Theater in covering costs for concession equipment and digital projector repairs. With extra funding, repairs can be completed promptly, reducing downtime for both projector and concessions maintenance. These necessary repairs will enable The Midway to boost ticket and concession sales without raising prices. The funds will contribute to the theater's longevity, ensuring it can be enjoyed by future generations.
