Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $10,000.00 to Kit Carson Rural Development with the 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. These funds helped bring new housing to Kit Carson, Colorado.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $6,000 to Kirk Fire Department with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will help acquire a new Fast Attack Brush Fire Truck. The Kirk Fire Department is a volunteer Fire Department that covers an area of 260 square miles in southern Yuma County plus provides mutual assistance to Joes, Cope and Stratton. The majority of the fires they respond to are grass and brush fires and the new Fire Truck will help improve response time. All while keeping the volunteers safe as they are protecting people, property and structures.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $5,000 to Springs Rescue Mission with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. This will help continue to provide a emergency homeless shelter for 450 people every night and the Samaritan food program serves nutritious meals 7 days a week. Springs Rescue Mission also includes empowerment care such as job training, housing navigation, health services and addiction recovery to help those they serve recover from homelessness.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $5,000 to Wells Rural Development with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The Cheyenne County Commissioners, Town of Cheyenne Wells and Eastern Colorado Bank are working together to build affordable new homes in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. We are excited to see how the Wells Rural Development projects better our community for years to come.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $2,000 to Prairie Family Center with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. This will help purchase local fresh food and distribute it to the underserved and highly disadvantaged population within Kit Carson County and surrounding areas. Prairie Family Center is a non-profit organization that supports the community and remains open to provide ongoing vital services at no cost to the individuals and families.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $5,000 to the Karval Food Pantry with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. This will help start the construction to add a room to the Karval Community Building that houses the food pantry. More space will be a nice improvement to the food pantry and will give them room to store and organize more food. The Karval Food Pantry currently serves 80 families in the Karval area.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $10,000 to Dream Centers of Colorado Springs with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. Dream Centers mission is to help single mothers and their children who are experiencing inequities and homelessness in the Pikes Peak region. They are able to accommodate up to 19 families with the Mary’s Home program. And the Women’s Clinic provides the only free health services in the area.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $1,500 to Wallace County Healthcare Foundation with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. This will help support DJ’s Toy Fund for Sick Children by providing stuffed animals and small toys to young patients in clinics, hospitals and emergency rooms in nearby Kansas communities. This fund is in memory of DJ Noyes who spent much of his life in the hospital as a young child. DJ passed away in his early 20s from a serious illness and his loving family helps comfort sick children in his memory.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $1,000 to USD 241 Wallace County School with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds will be used to purchase Choral music folders and other supplies to help organize the students. Wallace County Schools have a strong vocal department that participate in numerous public performances and also attend the Kansas Music Educators Association auditions and performances each year.

Eastern Colorado Bank has donated $5,000 to Prairie View Health Resources with our 2022 Giving Back - Looking Forward Grant. The funds are helping to send Tanaia Hansen to Nursing School at Lamar Community College and Kendra Noe to Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Radiology School at University of Nebraska with the Prairie View Education Assistance Program.
