The Eastern Colorado Bank began as a rural community bank in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. We were founded in 1944 by a group of investors led by Victor and Leona Weed. Beginning with $25,000.00 in capital accounts and those two officer employees, we focused on providing banking services tailored to the needs of ranchers and farmers, small business', and professionals in eastern Colorado and western Kansas.
We have an unwavering commitment to superior service that began as a high priority for our founders and extends to our customers today. In addition to serving eastern Colorado and western Kansas we have expanded our reach to a branch in Limon, Colorado in 2000, in 2003 we opened our Garden of the Gods Branch in Colorado Springs, and in August of 2010 we opened a branch in Sharon Springs, Kansas. This has allowed us to diversify our bank and to expand the opportunities for financial and personal growth with our customers and employees.
Our committment to you is one of delivering exceptional service. The Eastern Colorado Bank and Garden of the Gods Bank have developed an outstanding line of financial products. Our goal is to help our customers achieve financial success and we have the people and the products in place to deliver on this commitment.
Though we have adapted to the changes in your banking needs over these many years, our focus and commitment on your success has remained to this day exactly the same as that day in 1944 when the doors were opened for the first time. We are honored to have the opportunity to be your bank.
